The brief

The action

Measurements were taken to confirm widths, lengths and turns, then the old carpet and underlay were uplifted and removed. The stairs were checked over, with gripper replaced where required and fresh underlay fitted for extra comfort and noise reduction. The new carpet was fitted step-by-step, pulled tight and secured to keep the pile running consistently, with a clean finish along the sides and a neat transition onto the landing. Door bars and trims were fitted where needed to complete the edges.

The results
