The brief

Replace a worn lounge carpet and improve comfort underfoot, with a tidy finish around the doorway and edges. The room needed to be left ready to use straight away.

The action

The space was measured to confirm sizing and layout, then the existing carpet and underlay were uplifted and removed. The subfloor was checked and tidied, with gripper replaced where needed. Fresh underlay was fitted and taped securely, then the new carpet was installed, stretched properly and finished neatly along skirting lines and corners. Door bars and trims were fitted to create a clean transition at the threshold.

The results

A lounge that feels warmer, softer and more polished, with a smooth, secure fit that sits flat and looks sharp. The room was left clean, with waste removed and furniture moved back into place where possible.
