The brief

Replace an old, worn carpet and upgrade the underlay to improve comfort, warmth and day-to-day durability. The job needed to be completed quickly and left tidy, with minimal disruption.

The action

The room was measured to confirm sizing and reduce waste, then the existing carpet and underlay were uplifted and removed. The subfloor was checked and prepped, with gripper and door bars replaced where required. Fresh underlay was fitted and taped securely, followed by the new carpet – stretched properly and finished with clean edges around skirting, corners and the doorway for a smooth, professional look.

The results

The bedroom now feels noticeably warmer and softer underfoot, with a secure fit that sits flat and looks sharp. The space was left clean and ready to use straight away, with all waste taken away at the end of the job.
